🚀 Start with the Free BEST Vet Program

Everything your clinic needs to help puppy clients get off to a great start.

Most veterinarians already understand the importance of Behavior, Education, Socialization & Training (BEST). We've gathered our free continuing education, client handouts, and puppy resources into one program, making it easy to give every new puppy client the right information at the right time. This free program includes a 6-hour RACE-approved veterinary behavior seminar by Dr. Dunbar, his conference lecture notes from PacVet, VMX, and WVC, and our curated New Puppy Owner Educational Package.

📄 Give Every Puppy Client This Info

Free Puppy Pamphlets

You don't need to become a dog trainer to make an enormous difference. Give new puppy clients our free Puppy Training & Socialization pamphlet to triage what is urgent and what is important. It covers the essentials, connects them to free books and video instruction, and urges clients to socialize their pups with numerous unfamiliar people safely at home prior to 12 weeks of age.

🧭 Help Your Clients Find a Puppy Class

A good puppy class is one of the best things you can recommend to new puppy owners.

Puppies need opportunities to socialize and play with other puppies in a safe, supervised environment. Off-leash play is essential for puppies to develop confidence, social savvy, and bite inhibition so they will enjoy being handled in adulthood by strangers—especially your clinic staff. Help your clients get started early by referring them to our International Puppy Class Directory.

🎓 Practical Behavior Information for Veterinary Practitioners

A 6-hour veterinary behavior seminar by Dr. Ian Dunbar, approved for CE credit by AAVSB RACE.

Learn the practical, time-sensitive behavior information every veterinarian should know—from puppy socialization and bite inhibition to housetraining, home-alone problems, fear and aggression. Free with enrollment in the BEST Vet Program.

✋ Teach Your Puppy to Love Being Handled

Help your clients teach their new pups to love being held and handled at home, so they don't mind being restrained and examined when they come into your clinic.

🚨 Predict and Prevent Dog Bites

Help your clients recognize common dog-bite triggers and prevent fear and defensiveness before they escalate.

📋 Puppy Socialization Log

If your clients introduce their new pups to lots of new and unfamiliar people, the pups will be much more comfortable around you and your staff, and that will continue into adolescence and adulthood.
