How to film your training, and what you can win.

Videos are always a bonus, never required. Every challenge can be done with a simple text reply. But we love seeing your dogs, and filming yourself is one of the best ways to get better, fast.

Why film yourself?

How to send a video

• Reply to the day’s text with your video, or post it in the WayBetter app.
• Tell us who’s who. Add your dog’s name, and your record if it’s a record day.
• Send as many as you like. Every video counts toward the prizes.

Filming tips

1. Keep it short. 15 to 60 seconds is perfect. Just the good bit (or the funny bit).
2. Get the whole dog in the frame, paws to ears. Hold your phone low, near your dog’s height.
3. Hold your phone upright (vertical). It looks best on phones.
4. Face the light. Film with a window or lamp behind the camera, not behind your dog.
5. Leave the sound on. We want to hear your “Good Dog!”
6. No helper? Prop your phone against a book or a mug, press record, and step into the shot.

Win Most Improved

Send a video in Week 1, then film the same exercise again in Week 3 or 4. The bigger the difference, the better your chances. Even if you don’t send them, those before-and-after videos are a wonderful keepsake.

Bloopers welcome

Dog ran off with the kibble? Sat when you said Down? Knocked you over with a Come-Sit? Send it! There’s a prize for Best Blooper, and mistakes are how we all learn.
